Major, but imperceptible, flaw is a long, diagonal, closed tear from top to about three quarters to bottom of front cover that has been superbly taped from backside of cover. Contents include HPL novelette, stories by Cummings, Quinn, Smith, Wellman and three others, three poems and filler Departments 'Eyrie' and "Weird Tales Club." $60.00

Small water mark visible on both the "d" in banner title word "Weird" and on upper left corner of rear cover is only blemish of note. Contents include novelette by Bloch, a first appearance story by Bradbury, stories by Derleth, Wellman, Hamilton and five others, three poems, including one by HPL, and the "Eyrie" Department filler. $60.00

Crack Detective Pulp Magazine

Crack Detective Stories, Volume 5, Number 4; July, 1944; Holyoke, Columbia Publications, Inc.; Good sm. 4to Pulp Magazine in color Wraps. Spine square with partial lean, 90% intact with old tape reinforcement on top inch or so. Shows typical sm. closed tear edge wear. Color cover intact save for small triangular piece lower right corner and tiny square missing from bottom left corner. Front cover is partially detached. Back cover intact with minor closed tears. (Great full page ad headlined: "Now Hitler's Private Doctor Tells All!") Issue contains one novel and eight stories including "Murder Takes a Furlough" by Bruno Fischer. Scarce. $45.00
